Tripp Plaskett is an accomplished IT professional and Account Executive with extensive experience in data centers and data strategy. His career spans commercial, public, higher education, and global sectors, where he has developed strong expertise in technology, sales, and leadership. After working 15 years at Dell Technologies in multiple sales and leadership roles, Tripp Plaskett joined NetApp in Nashville as a Client Executive. At NetApp, he helps organizations manage, secure, and optimize their data across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments through advanced hardware, software, and services. His career reflects a consistent commitment to teamwork, client satisfaction, and measurable performance.

His areas of expertise include strategic sales planning, technical sales, and data-driven decision-making. He has a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals, managing complex client portfolios, and fostering relationships that support long-term success. John Plaskett began his career at Dell Technologies in 2010 as a Storage Expert and advanced to Technical Sales Manager within three years. In this role, he led and coached sales professionals, oversaw recruitment and training, and created comprehensive territory management plans to optimize performance. He focused on communication and teamwork to build a cohesive, results-oriented environment. In 2017, he became Enterprise Inside Sales Director, managing 48 sellers and sales leaders. He emphasized the importance of professional development, continuous improvement, and open dialogue to strengthen collaboration and accountability. Later, as a Data Center Sales Executive and Account Executive, he maintained strong sales performance, managed key accounts, and provided tailored solutions aligned with client needs.

Throughout his career, he has been recognized with numerous awards, including FY22 Director of the Year, Manager of the Year FY19, and several half-year and quarterly honors. He was also part of Dell’s President’s Club in 2019, which recognizes top-performing sales professionals. His professional certifications include CML-Certified Storage Architect and VTSP Certification. He has completed the Dell Leadership Development Program, the RSDU Program, the Dale Carnegie/Effective Communications and HR Program, and the Nancy Graves Executive Communications Program, demonstrating his dedication to leadership and professional growth.

Beyond his career, he is active in volunteer work and community service. He participated in Push America, now known as Journey of Hope - The Ability Experience, as one of 50 men who cycled across the United States to raise awareness for people with disabilities. The journey spanned over 8,000 miles and raised more than $500,000 to support disability awareness. He continues to volunteer for community initiatives and is a member of Christ the King Church in Nashville. In his free time, he enjoys golf, hiking, and kayaking.
